Complaint Free Bracelet

I was watching the Oprah Show this afternoon and they featured this purple bracelet that says “A Complaint Free World”. The color alone is already catchy but wait ‘til you know its purpose. Pastor Will Bowen, the man behind this bracelet, explains that the more you articulate the negative things around you, the more these things sort of manifest in our everyday lives. Very true! Now to change this attitude Pastor Bowen came up with this idea of wearing this purple bracelet. The rules are very easy to comprehend but to practice those rules… uhm… it will take a while (^_^)

Here are the suggested rules:

Begin to wear the bracelet, on either wrist.

When you catch yourself complaining, gossiping or criticizing (it’s ok, everyone does) move the bracelet to the other arm and begin again.

If you hear someone else who is wearing a bracelet complain, you may point out their need to switch the bracelet to the other arm; BUT if you’re going to do this, you must move your bracelet first!

Stay with it. It may take many months but when you reach 21 days you will find that your entire life is happier, more loving and more enjoyable.

How it Works

Scientists believe it takes 21 days to form a new habit and complaining is habitual for most of us. As Twain said, we must coax our old behavior down the stairs. The purple bracelet is a powerful tool to remind you of how well you are creating your life with positive intention.

Now I’m making my own COMPLAINT FREE "BRACELET". Technically, it is not a bracelet, it’s a RING! (^_^) But it is not just an ordinary ring. This ring is made out from dextrose by a Korean patient. I guess this ring will remind me not to complain for the next 21 days (^_^). Try it guys! It’s a good way to start the year.

Here's a simple gift from me. Hope you'll like it. Enjoy! (^_^)

House of Hope

This time I didn’t cry. This time I didn’t feel like my heart was smashed. On second thought… a bit (^_^) This time I enjoyed every second I’ve spent with them and I would love to do this again.

Grannies have lots of energy when it comes to dancing. Napasayaw tuloy ako (^_^)

Somang is a Korean word for Hope. Surely, this is a house of hope for our grannies.

"...Kapag dumating ang sandali ng aking pagpanaw, hawakan mo sana ang aking kamay at bigyan mo ako ng lakas ng loob na harapin ang kamatayan.

At huwag kang mag-alala, kapag kaharap ko na ang Diyos na lumikha, ibubulong ko sa kanya na pagapalain ka sana … dahil naging mapagmahal ka sa iyong ama’t ina…"

My New Playground

I still can’t believe that I’m on my third week stay in Philippine Stock Exchange. It feels like I spent the first half of my internship in this company. I guess it only shows that I’m enjoying my stay in PSE. (^_^)

A Peaceful Exit

I rarely talk about my internship experience in SMITS and I know it’s a bit awkward for me to say this but I’m gonna move to other company (-_-). After 83 days and less than two months of my stay in SMITS I decided to move on. Why? I opt not to talk about that. I’m really happy that I enjoyed my last week stay in the office. On Monday I’m gonna start my 2nd internship. Fresh start! New home! New challenges!

Drug Test: Boom! Positive

Last term we were informed that there will be a mandatory drug test. Students, professors, manong guards, and even the janitors are obliged to undergo drug test. They will be selecting students randomly and yesterday was my day. I was excited and a bit worry. Don’t worry guys I’m clean! ^_^ I was just wondering what if the result says I’m positive but I guess that’s not a pleasant scenario. ^_^ But seriously I commend our school for conducting a drug test for this only shows how much they love us. ^_^

All medicines that were taken for the past 10 days should be declared in this paper.

Water for those who have a hard to you know ^_^

I tried to control it but it overflowed. Yikes! ^_^

On the other side of the story, we found this one last Friday. “Magpapainom daw si Manny! Sige! Go ako dyan! Isang ice tea please! ^_^”

Ang cute dba? Yung bottle not me… Hahaha

Don’t want to be in hiatus mode

Hey I’m back! *lol Almost 2 months din akong nawala sa blogging world and I’m glad I’m back. Yeah! So what kept me busy for the past 2 months? My internship!!! I’m spending my 6-month internship in San Miguel Information Technology Services (SMITS) a.k.a. San Miguel in Mandaluyong. Quite far from my home, right? Anyways, working in a real environment is no joke at all. We have bosses. We have lots of deadlines. We also do clerical stuffs. Whether we like it or not we should do it because it’s part of our grade evaluation. Oh, did I mention that I had a hard time programming in VB.Net? Well guess what? The system that I’m working on right now uses VB.Net. (-_-) and for the past 2 months, I must say na gumagaling na ako sa VB.Net! Yehey! *lol

San Miguel

Going home around 6pm is not a great idea. Rush hour kasi.

The result of boredom. Picture picture muna with my classmates
