Are you Conceited?

Have you ever felt of being misinterpreted by the persons around you? How would you feel if someone tells you that you are conceited even in a funny way? How will you handle this? As much as possible I want to be transparent to all who reads my blog. I want them to know what I’m going though and what God is trying to teach me.

Let me first define the word ‘conceited’. Conceited means self-important, vain, proud, arrogant, snobbish, etc. The scenario is this. I like to make people laugh. I make myself as an example like “You know I’m cute.” or “I think you like me.” Now here’s the dilemma. One day ‘they’ just called me ‘conceited’. Even if that’s a joke, I think the word ‘conceited’ is a profound word. I wondered why is it they called me like that. Is that the way they see me?

As we were practicing just this night I opted to step outside the room. There, in an isolated area, I asked God what is He trying to teach me. Then a word flashes in my mind. The word HUMBLE. At that moment, I just felt that God is molding me. He wants every negative attitude to be strip away. I remember then my prayer:

“Search me, O God, and know my
heart;
test me and know my anxious
thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me.
And lead me in the way everlasting.”
~ Psalms 139:23-24

The process may be painful but God wants us to be like Him. God is molding us according to his purposes and plans for us. Which leads me to the header of my blog. It says, “Mould me, Use me, and Fill Me. I give my life to the Potter’s hand” As I was writing these things down, I can feel that the agony is gone. Like what I’ve said, the process may be painful but at the end you will feel rejuvenate. There’s only one great teacher and that is God! To God be all the glory!

Long and Hectic Week

So many things had happened this week. Our first day for our second term started last Wednesday. I met new classmates and gained more friends. This term is kinda different. My classmates and I advanced one subject and that’s Business Law. Sounds difficult? I hope not… I’m also busy in our Rotary Club. We’re preparing a stage presentation, and I’m one of the actors, to be presented next Saturday. Next is about A.P.C.-choir. We’re practicing 3 to 4 times a week for the upcoming graduation this October. Despite the hectic schedule there’s also a time for resting and for me you can only obtain that God’s presence. =)

These photos were taken in Calatagan, Batangas last week. Enjoy!

Camera Freak

A little talk about photography @ Starbucks Magallanes

His name is Jan Michael Serva but prefer to write his name as John Micheal Serva (LOL). He’s a 1st year Computer Network Engineering student. We met each in the general assembly of Y.O.F. We have so many things in common and one of which is photography. As an older brother, he asked me if I could give him some tips in photography and of course I said yes. He said his going to post my picture in his blog so do check it out. I hope it’s good.

Count your blessings & name them one by one

God is so good at all times! For the past months and up to now, our family is experiencing God’s outpouring blessings. It’s true that before God invest, he test it first. And I’m really thankful for all the blessings that we’ve received and for more blessings to come. There are 3 major blessings that I’m very thankful of.

First: This morning was our grade’s distribution day. And guess what, I can’t believe that I didn’t get any lower than 3.0 grade. The highest grade is 4.0, then 3.5, 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, 1.5, 1.0, 0.5, and the lowest is 0.0. What a blessing!!!

Second: My sister made it to the ‘chosen 25’. Here’s the story. Their school picked top 50 students. They all took up oral and written examinations and out from 50 they were lowered down to 25 and she’s one of the ‘chosen 25’. The HCCA or the Health Care Corporation of America is the one who will give scholarships to the 25 students. Isn’t that a great blessing! But wait, there’s another one. If they pass the final exam, they automatically have a work in America as a nurse and take note, all expenses paid!

My mom, sister, and I @ Enterprise Makati for the awarding ceremony.

Third: Last but not the least; I thank God for giving my father another colorful year. It’s my dad’s birthday last September 1. He’s the best dad in whole universe!
